2010 Christmas Letter

Howdy friends and family!!

We hope this letter finds you rejoicing in the wondrous birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

What a wonderful time of year it is to reflect on the fact that the God of the universe stepped down from His throne in heaven, became flesh and dwelt among us so that we can choose to spend eternity in heaven with Him through salvation in Christ alone!

Emmanuel, God with us.

What a beautiful reality!

Well, as you can see from our new address we left the great state of Texas so that Aaron could become the new Worship Pastor at Spring Lake Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin!

He started his new job in July and is really enjoying it and we are enjoying our new life! You can follow his ministry HERE!

We moved into our new home in August and we love it!

Our neighborhood is wonderful, several church members live on the surrounding streets and one of the other SLC pastors and his family live right across the street!

God has truly blessed us and it looks like we will get to experience our first white Christmas this year!

Did you notice the little snow shovelers in the background? :)

They are loving the snow so far and cannot wait to build a snowman when we get enough snow!

One of the coolest things we did this past year as a family was to attend SLC Family Camp! You can read about our experience HERE! It was a great time to be together enjoying God's beautiful creation! We have always wanted to do something like this and we hope to attend every summer!

Erin continues to run her sports ministry, Worthy of the Prize! You can follow her ministry HERE! The biggest news is that her sports camp manual, Worthy of the Prize Sports Camps, is in the final stages of the publishing process and is due to release February 2011 just in time for churches to use it for Summer 2011!

Jim Sundberg (VP of the Texas Rangers baseball organization) is writing the foreword for her manual so maybe she will actually sell a few copies! ;)

Anderson is loving his new school where he attends 4K (4-year old kindergarten). He is learning to read, write, count, color and all of that other fun stuff! Thankfully he does really well in school and is always a good boy! He is still as active as ever, loving all things sports-related! We are planning to sign him up to play tee-ball at the Y this spring, we'll let you know how that goes!

EJ attends Mom's Day Out one day a week with some of the other SLC kids and he seems to be enjoying it! Next year we plan to enroll him in the 3-year old program at Anderson's school! He adores his big brother and wants to be just like him! He is into everything and is definitely turning into quite the little 2-year old! When he is not coloring on walls and dumping paint on floors, he really is the sweetest little thing, always giving kisses and hugs to anyone who will accept them!

Of course we had a blast cheering the Texas Rangers (and the TCU Horned Frogs) onto victory this year!

It was weird not being there to go to the games, but we rallied them on from up north!

Looking back on another great year, we thank God for all of His blessings and for you. We hope you and yours have a magical Christmas and a wonderful New Year! May God bless you as you seek Him in 2011!

Love~

The Franklins
Aaron, Erin, Anderson and EJ :)
