-30 minutes on the elliptical at a brisk pace
-free-weight routine combining upper and lower body (squats, calf raises, bench press, shoulder circuit, bicep curls, tricep extensions and abs...8-10 reps on each)
-5 minute cool-down (walk, stretch)

Spiritual Reflections for today---

Today's reading from One Incredible Moment is entitled, "Majesty in the Midst of the Mundane."

Do you ever feel that your life is mundane?

You constantly run from one thing to the next without a moment to catch your breath or enjoy any of the things you have done or the people that you have encountered.

Or maybe you are like us.

We get up. We eat breakfast. Big A goes to work. Little A goes to preschool. I take care of Little E. Big A and Little A come home. We eat lunch. The boys take naps. The boys get up. We play. Big A comes home. We eat dinner. We hang out. The boys take baths. The boys go to bed. We go to bed.

Next day---repeat above.

I fit in my workout at some point during the day and things do change slightly certain nights of the week if Big A has something going on at church.

The weekends vary a little and we do go to church.

But for the most part our routine is the same day in and day out.

What about the innkeeper and his family?

"Did anyone mention the arrival of the young couple the night before? Did anyone ask about their welfare? Did anyone comment on the pregnancy of the girl on the donkey?"

"No, it was doubtful that anyone mentioned the couple's arrival or wondered about the condition of the girl. They were too busy. The day was upon them. The day's bread had to be made. The morning's chores had to be done. There was too much to do to imagine that the impossible had occured."

"God had entered the world as a baby."

Prayer for today---

Lord, help us to not get so busy that we miss you. Not just at Christmastime but always. Help us to see you everyday, even in the little things. Help us to keep our focus on you and fulfilling your will for our lives. Amen.
