My 2011 Word

So I have really been doing aLOT of thinking in recent days about my 2011 New Year's Resolutions.

My life has been VERY stressful and out of order (or maybe out of my control I should say) for about the past 10 months to a year (or longer) when it became VERY evident that the Lord was moving us from our comfortable TEXAS life!!

We have been in transition for months now and more than ever my desire is to start the new year off on the right foot!

I have been working non-stop for the past week de-cluttering, organizing and cleaning our home determined to make 2011 as peaceful and free from stress as possible.

I have been tirelessly working on WOTP ministry stuff trying to impatiently "fix" all of the things that have been stressing me out because there was simply no time or resources to "fix" them in recent months.

Oh and did I mention I am in the midst of publishing my sports camp manual, Worthy of the Prize Sports Camps, which has obviously put a hold on aLOT of things around here!

Sidenote: A BIG thank you to all of you who have patiently supported WOTP as we are working through the HUGE changes that have occurred in the lives of myself, my business partner Mary Jo and my accountant over the past year!

(you would be surprised how rude some people can be)

I finally feel like we are getting to a point where we can breathe easier again!

I mean I can actually now take inventory of our products instead of frantically trying to find and ship things that people have ordered because I had NO idea where certain products were (or if we even had any of that item)...since our things have been in 3 different states during the transition!

Not to mention the pile of boxes that I have had to dig through many times hoping I will find at least one thing that I am desperately looking for at the moment!

Thankfully, we are finally figuring out how to make this ministry work now that we live in these 3 different states!

And surprisingly (yeah right, God is in control of all of this) our ministry has only continued to grow despite it all which is further confirmation of God's will in this wild ride we are on!

Now if I can just get my too-much-like-me child to start pooping again!

Sorry you had to hear that but the poor thing has been holding his poop ever since his sweet little 4 year old life got turned upside down!

I guess it is the one thing that he CAN control.

Or so he thinks.

It is funny how we each deal with stress in our own special ways.

Me and my Little A are the stressful, anxious types and we have really been hit hard this year!

Big A and Little E are so easy-going they probably have no idea we have even moved, ha!

Now don't get me wrong, God has tremendously blessed us and protected us over the past few years and I am looking foward to sharing some of those things with you in the coming days.

He truly is faithful.

Anyways, back to my New Year's Resolutions.

I'm not doing any.

Instead, I came across something that I absolutely LOVE over at Baby Be Blessed.

LOVE their ministry by the way.

It is called My One Word.

You can read about it HERE.

In order to simplify my life, which as you can tell I am desperately trying to do, I am not going to make a long list of resolutions.

I am simply going to strive to become one word this year.

And here it is.

Focused on the things that matter.

My God. My family. My friends. My church. My ministry.

Focused on the things that have been neglected.

My time with God. My relationships. My health. My fitness. The house.

And the rest can just pass away for all I care.

Happy 2011 friends!!!

May God bless you as you seek Him this year!

Much love from all of us here at WOTP!

great words Erin! Mine, for the second year in a row, is "intentional" - as a wife, as a mom, as a studier of the Bible and a contributing member of God's kingdom. However that looks each day, I'm going to be intentional.

Love it!! That is actually one of the words that I prayed over when I was trying to figure out what my one word would be!
