The Original Playstation

Have you seen this floating around the web? I thought it was a great reminder for summer.

Not sure of the original source. This is as close as I could get.

Need ideas? Check out our summer bucket list! It has definitely helped me make a point to get outside and do fun stuff with my boys instead of being tempted to always stay inside where it is cool and I can continue to organize our new house.

In fact, check out what we did today...

A little day trip to the Great Smoky Mountains with the senior adults from our church! We had a blast and can officially check a few more items off of our list. :)

Oh and I am so pumped because Big A has finally located (since the move) Little E's puddle jumper! We are headed to Texas on Thursday where we will be visiting a water park and the boys will be swimming for the first time this summer.

It is at the top of my summer "must haves" list! Does your child have one?

Seriously. Get one. It taught Little A how to swim and it is the reason I can relax and socialize when my kids are around water. It is better than anything I have ever seen, you MUST get one for your child if you do not have one already. It actually keeps their head above water and keeps them in proper position when they swim. They can even jump in with it by themselves!

Hope your family is having a fun-filled summer as well!

Summer Bucket List for Families

Me and the boys made a Summer Bucket List and we have been trying to check at least one thing off each day. It has been SO much fun!

We have actually checked several more off the list since I took this picture...and even added a few more activities as well!

It really has helped keep me accountable to getting out of the house and doing fun things with my kiddos, fighting the urge to stay in where it's cool, desperately trying to organize my new house.

Our list is filled with simple, good ole fashioned fun that is very doable and inexpensive. And the best part...we are spending quality time as a family, making memories!

Feel free to steal my ideas. They are a compilation of things I saw on Pinterest, things I thought of on my own and things the boys came up with.  Did I mention that my boys LOVE it!

What is on your to-do list this summer? Have you made a summer bucket list of your own?

By the way, my Tervis 24oz Tumbler has been following me around all summer long, making it so easy to get my daily intake of water! Here it is with me the day that we checked "eat watermelon" off of the list.

It and the elliptical are my new best friends now that I am going strong on my weight loss journey again! We spend countless hours together. :)

Hope you and yours are having a fun-filled summer!
