mom2mom {linky party}: DIY Wire Frames

Happy Monday! Remember my post a few weeks ago that hinted at what I’d be doing to fill up that empty playroom wall? I’m finally showing you what that wall looks like!

I wanted a place that I could display Grayson’s “art”, that wasn’t necessarily the fridge door…and I needed something that could fill up a pretty significant amount of space. I had a bunch of free (or nearly free) large picture frames around. Add all of those factors together and you get this:

A friend of mine showed this as a child’s art display idea at MOPS last year and I fell in love! It was simple, a super-easy way to change out your kiddo’s art, and cheap. That’s my kind of project.

All I needed for this project were 4 large frames, spray paint to match the accent colors in the room, picture-hanging wire, screw eye hooks, and pliers.

I actually took pictures to write up a tutorial, but just found this one on one of my favorite blogs, and she does an awesome job of explaining the DIY wire frames. Check out Ashley Ann’s post here.

So there you have it, our playroom decorated on a budget. It’s such a fun room and really is one of my favorites in our home!
