We have this Slushie Express Slushie Maker and have found that it works pretty well...especially for making slushies quickly! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how much of the syrup we were using and how pricey it can be.
But, the good, ol' internet came to my rescue when I found this recipe for slushie (or snowcone) syrup using ingredients you probably have in your cabinet!
Slushie Syrup Recipe
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of water
1 .22 ounce unsweetened power drink mix (Kool-Aid or store brand)
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan until it reaches a boil then remove from heat. Allow to cool. Using a funnel, pour it into a plastic bottle. I have found that these Wilton Decorating Squeeze Bottle bottles work really well!
Hope it works for you! Do you have any great ways to beat the summer heat??
