{Noonday Collection Review}: Dewdrop Necklace + $50 Gift Certificate Giveaway CLOSED!!

I am thrilled to be blogging today, on behalf of Noonday Collection. This is a seriously fantastic company and I truly hope that you will take the time to check out their fabulous products, which directly rescue children and families from poverty!

Their name is derived from Isaiah 58:10, which says "when you satisfy the needs of the oppressed, your night becomes like the noonday."

What a beautiful image of bringing the hope and light of Christ to a darkened world by giving talented artisans from a variety of countries the chance to make an honest living, allowing them to provide for their families.

A few weeks ago, Noonday sent me their brand new Dewdrop Necklace to review, and I am so thankful that they did!

The Dewdrop Necklace was made with love {in India} by an artisan group that creates avenues of employment for the economically disadvantaged.

Isn't it absolutely stunning? I am in love and have been wearing it with everything...it is so versatile!

In fact, I love all of the Noonday products it is paired with in their online catalog. I am dying to have their Bethe Rope Necklace, their Gold Deco Earrings, their Cubist Cuff and their Filipino Clutch, which you can see here make the perfect compliments to it!

Here are a few pictures of me wearing this little beauty...

Date night with Big A...looks fantastic with my Jimmy Choo bag!

Headed to Little A's baseball game...wearing the only orange thing I own (his team color), I jazzed it up a bit!

This (Sunday) morning...gonna look great worn with my Nest of Posies bag (which I just received in the mail a few days ago) while I am out and about this summer!

Ok, so I'm no Noonday model, but now you can see how great it looks on an everyday mom like me! :) Do you love it as much as I do?

If so, you are in luck!!! Noonday Collection is graciously donating one $50 gift certificate to one lucky winner!!!

To enter, simply visit Noonday Collection here and then come back and leave a comment on this post telling me which one of their fabulous products is your favorite! Be sure to leave your email address in your comment, so that I can contact you should you win.

{The Fine Line Market Review}: My New Monogram Wreath

I am so excited about the new wreath that now graces my front door!

Sweet Bethany from The Fine Line Market sent me the acrylic monogram for it a few months ago and it was like an early Christmas gift! I had seen them floating around the web and was in love with the ones she carries in her shop, dying to have one for myself! I couldn't believe her generosity and was giddy with excitement when she told me she was shipping one to me!

Her shop carries monograms in all sorts of colors, shapes and sizes, to be used for various purposes including wall hangings, cake toppers, jewelry, keyrings, wreath ornaments, etc...but I knew I wanted mine to hang as a wreath on my front door!

After much agonizing over which of the many fabulous colors to choose from,  I finally decided on black to compliment the accent colors on the front of our house. Then I had to decide what kind of wreath to put it on, another tough decision. I have seen her red and white monograms on gorgeous evergreen wreaths, but I wanted something that would make the black pop, and yet would still be neutral enough to last through the changing seasons.

So yesterday my friend Kara and I took a little trip to Hobby Lobby, which is in the next town over, about 30 minutes away. Kara, better known as Sew.Hip.Mama, is super creative, so I knew she could help me design a fabulous wreath! Not to mention she helped me get 40% off because she showed me that you can go to the Hobby Lobby website from your phone, click on the coupon and simply show it at checkout to redeem it! Awesome!

First, Kara helped me choose a large grapevine wreath, remembering something she saw on Pinterest where they spray painted one. I needed something big because the monogram itself is 16 inches.

I knew I wanted to find a gray and white polka dot fabric for the wreath because I had seen a pretty gray and white polka dot wreath that I loved over at Tatertots and Jello recently. Kara found an exact match and there was just enough left for my purposes!

Last, we headed over to look at spray paint and I settled on Pewter Gray, a light gray that would make both the monogram and the fabric stand out. As soon as I got home, I spray painted my new wreath. So easy...although it did take a few coats!

After the paint had dried (which did not take long), I simply tied the monogram onto my wreath using a thin ribbon so that it would hang inside it, and then I tied the fabric bow around the top of my wreath. And ta-da! My house now fits in perfectly here in the land of all things Southern Living and Thirty-One...and I happen to be addicted to both, by the way! ;)

What do you think?

I figure if I want to add seasonal color throughout the year, I can always change out the bow and/or add some removable rosettes or pom poms. I could even spray paint it a new color at some point as well. I'm sure I will post pictures anytime I update it!

Be sure to check out The Fine Line Market. Bethany has a variety of fabulous products, including stationary, stamps, crosses, jewelry and iPhone covers, in addition to the monograms, and she is so delightful to work with, you will not be disappointed! I ordered our Christmas cards from her and I got so many compliments on them, they turned out fantastic! She has been a huge supporter of our ministry and I just love her, I know you will too!

{Lilla Rose Review}: An Evening with Franklin Graham

Big A and I rarely go out on dates. Seriously.

We live far away from family and have little money for sitters. Not to mention our schedule has no extra time in it, between our ministries, work, school, church, t-ball, etc.

Our version of "dating" is spending time together after the boys are in bed. Sometimes we order in. Sometimes I make a special dessert. Sometimes we pop in a movie. Whatever we can do to get a little quality time in on a low budget and crazy schedule.

Can anyone relate? I would love to hear your ideas on how to "date" with these stipulations in mind!

Oh but last night. Last night was different. And amazing.

We were invited to attend The Hope Center (crisis pregnancy center) benefit dinner, with Franklin Graham! We were SO excited! We even got to get dressed up. Can't remember the last time that happened.

I was worried about what to wear and even more, how I was going to do my hair. I had washed my hair that morning but then spent all day at the pumpkin patch with Little A on his class field trip. I was only going to have time to run home, change and head out as soon as the sitter arrived. And my hair doesn't do well down unless it is freshly washed, dried and styled, which is why I wear it in a ponytail most days.

That is, until I found Lilla Rose!

Jackie sent me a flexi clip in the mail a few weeks ago, so that I could try it out and review it for her. I have to admit I was a skeptic at first. My hair is very thick and heavy and yet fine at the same time, which makes for a terrible combination when trying to wear anything in it....it just slips, losing it's shape or has to constantly be adjusted.

But the flexi clip, my friends, is seriously awesome! I put it in my hair all by myself (so easy to manipulate), it looked perfect the first time I did it and it stayed in place ALL night long! It was snug and secure and SO comfortable, couldn't even feel it!

Seriously, big fan!

I see people post pictures like this all the time on blogs and Facebook. I had never done it before but thought it was cool, so I gave it a try!

Here you can see my flexi clip from the side!

And here it is from the back. Simple and pretty. Comfortable and SO easy to install on your own!

The flexi clip comes in all sorts of sizes and styles. And Lilla Rose has several other fabulous hair products, including hair sticks, o rings, hair bands, bobby pins, you pins and badge holders. I am excited to try their hair bands and o rings, they will be perfect for dressing up my daily ponytail! :)

Check out their fabulous products here and follow them on Facebook here. Be sure to contact Jackie for all of your Lilla Rose needs; her products would make great Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers for family and friends!

Go here to watch the Lilla Rose styling/sizing videos to find out which style/size is right for you! I am wearing the small flexi clip but in order to put all of my hair up into a ponytail, I would need a bigger size to fit my thick hair!

As for our evening with Franklin Graham, it was awesome!!! We got to meet him and hear him speak! He reminded us that "life is full of raging storms but just as Jesus once told his disciples not to fear the high waves, He tells us the same today because, after all, if Jesus is in the boat, it will not sink."

And of course I am all about supporting any ministry that promotes life! I encourage you to find your local crisis pregnancy center that is sharing the hope of life in Christ with the women in your community and find a way to get involved either through prayer, volunteering and/or financial support!

Because as Franklin Graham put it, "their hope was in the boat with them."

It is my prayer that you know first hand the hope of new life in Christ. Go here to find out more information on how to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus, which leads to eternal life in heaven with Him when you die.

And if you would like to be featured here, contact me at worthyoftheprize@yahoo.com. As of today, we are averaging almost 50,000 hits per month (and growing daily) and have almost 6,000 followers (and growing daily)! We would love to help fund our ministries by promoting your ministry, blog, small business or handmade shop. Not only would we put your ad on our page but we will promote you from all of our social media sites and allow you to host reviews, features, giveaways and guest posts.

Happy Friday, friends!
