WOW! That being said, I recommend that you cut back on the soft drinks and add more water to your diet! If you usually drink more than 1 soda a day, then start by cutting back to just 1 a day for awhile, then 1 every other day, then 1 a week, and then just 1 every now and then. Instead, drink water!!! (You should drink 64 oz. of water every day which is pretty much impossible if you are filling up on sodas)
If you cannot cut out the soft drinks completely, then switch to diet or only limit yourselves to weekends or special occasions. Don't keep sodas in the house, only drink them when you go out to eat. Or don't get them when you go out, that will save money too! Whatever the case, come up with a system that works for you.
I think it is pretty safe to say that although soft drinks taste good, there is little if any nutritional value in them and they will cause you to gain weight or prevent you from losing weight. Take a look at the labels for yourself, you will find that they are filled with nothing but sugar and sodium!
