How are ya'll doing?
Or as Joey would say, "how you doin'."
Big A went to work today for a few hours but I am still not quite ready to brave the roads.
I will give the snow-plows at least one more day to work their magic before attempting to drive to the Y!
That being said, I had to get creative again in order to get my workout in!
It will be nice when I have my home gym set up!
Workout Routine for today---
-climbed 100 stairs
-super-slow strength-training exercises (squats, reverse push-ups, abs)
And as always, I did my back rehab exercises before and after my workout.
Spiritual Reflections for today---
Today's reading from One Incredible Moment is entitled, "Come to the Party."
Fact: There will be a party in Heaven one day!
Fact: Only the righteous are invited.
Fact: There is no one righteous, not even one.
What then?
Can God lower His standards and allow us to come to the party by overlooking our sin?
Not possible.
Lowering His standards would make Him less than perfect.
Looks like no one will be at the party then.
Wrong.
"Yes, righteousness is what God is, and, yes, righteousness is what we are not, and yes, righteousness is what God requires. But God has a way to make people right with him."
Romans 3:21-22
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
In order to get to the party, all we have to do is admit that we cannot make it on our own.
We are sinners in need of a savior.
Jesus Messiah.
Emmanuel, God with us.
Prayer for today---
Lord, thank you for providing a way for us to make it to the party. May we glorify you this Christmas season by celebrating the arrival of your provision, our savior. Amen.
