This is a super-busy time of year for Big A so he was gone most of the day.
I had a meeting this morning while the boys were gone (when I normally would have gone to the Y) and I had the boys all afternoon and evening.
So...once again I did a creative workout at the house!
Workout Routine for today---
-climbed 100 stairs
-super-slow strength-training exercises (squats, abs, reverse push-ups)
Spiritual Reflections for today---
Today's reading from One Incredible Moment is entitled "Seeking the Savior."
Basically Max is saying that we need to seek the savior as Simeon, the Magi and the shepherds did because "God rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)"
This pretty much sums it up:
"Step away from the puny pursuits of possessions and positions, and seek your king."
"Don't be satisfied with angels. Don't be content with stars in the sky. Seek him out as the shepherds did. Long for him as Simeon did. Worship him as the wise men did. Risk whatever it takes to see Christ."
"God rewards those who seek him. Not those who seek doctrine or religion or systems or creeds. Many settle for the lesser passions, but the reward goes to those who settle for nothing less than Jesus himself."
Prayer for today---
Lord, help me to lay aside everything and truly seek you with all that I am and all that I have. Amen.
