Summer 2010

I don't normally blog on the weekends but now that I FINALLY have a computer that is up and running again and now that I am FINALLY settled into my new home after 6 weeks of living on the road, I need to get caught up on my posts!

Worthy of the Prize had a lot of great things happen this summer that I want to fill you in on!

First, we conducted 4 successful high school volleyball team camps, which I told you about here.

We also had 3 successful shows including the Camp Thurman His Amazing Grace Race in Arlington, A Taste of CyFair benefitting the Layla Grace Children's Cancer Research Foundation in Houston and the 2010 International MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Convention in Orlando!

Here is our cute booth at the MOPS Convention...

AFTER
Cute huh? We worked VERY hard on it!!

We had SO much fun at the MOPS Convention meeting fabulous women, making great contacts (cannot wait to tell you about some of the ones that pan out in the near future), seeing ministry in action and worshipping our Savior along with Christy Nockels, Mandisa and The Katinas, to name a few!

We even had a little free time to shop, eat at some great restaurants and even visit Downtown Disney!

It is basically a girls weekend disguised as work!!! (shhhh, don't tell our hubbies)

Love the ladies from Crossroads MOPS in Summerville, SC!! (they were all wearing one of our Gigi Designs "Mom" shirts the last day of the convention, these will be up in our online shop soon)

As you can see, it was a very busy yet exciting summer for us...and somehow my family and I still managed to work in a cross-country move from Texas to Wisconsin!

WOW!

Not to mention the fact that I am still busy working through the publishing process of my sports camp manual that is due to be released February 2011!

And most exciting of all is the fact that we have added 7 new adopting families this summer, for a total of 12 families that we are supporting to bring home a total of 15 children!!!

Thanks to you, we have helped these families raise over $300 so far (this is not including the $ that Cap Creations and 517 Creations have helped them raise through the sale of the Chosen Necklace and the Chosen Child t-shirts)!!

With your help we have also donated 20 baby gifts to moms in need through March of Dimes, Agape Pregnancy Resource Center and Life Choices!

We could never praise God enough for allowing us to be apart of these beautiful ministries!

Cannot wait to tell you about the exciting things we have in store for the fall so check back soon!

I've been meaning to tell you that Rush Creek is starting up an adoption ministry-- not really sure what it's going to be, but thought you might want to see if you can get involved in any way!
