Free Friday! {Gratitude}

Since this is the month of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be appropriate to provide a {gratitude} print every Friday in November.

I have noticed that alot of people are posting {30 days} of thanksgiving, giving thanks, thankfulness, etc on their blogs, facebook pages and twitter pages this month.

Wouldn't it be fun to do something like that here each Friday?!

I will blog about gratitude and tell you what I am thankful for and then you can do the same! What do you say?



I just love this print. I found it on Pinterest several weeks ago and have been saving it to share during the month of November.

We can get so caught up in focusing on what we need, what we want, what we do not have and what other people have that it robs us of our joy.

I want to encourage you this month to focus on what you DO have. I will be sharing with you some ways to do this over the course of the next few weeks but first, I challenge you to write down 1 thing that you are thankful for each day this month.

It can be anything. Simple, small things. Things we usually take for granted. Write it in a journal or on your blog, facebook, twitter page or on a piece of paper. Encourage your family members to do the same.

It's Official!!! I'm A Published Author!

My book is in print!!!! After years of hardwork, I am SO excited to be done! Now here's to hoping someone actually buys it! ;)


It is a guide for churches/mission organizations or any group that wants to run an evangelistic sports camp for kids as a community outreach.

{Coaches Corner}: Sports Parenting Article by Jim Sundberg

Today I have a great resource for coaches and parents.

It is an excellent article by Jim Sundberg {Vice President of the Texas Rangers Baseball Organization} on sports parenting.



Go here and read it. It is definitely worth your time.

Also, it would be perfect for you to pass out at the parent meeting at the start of your season.

And if any of you out there reading this are parents, it is a must read for you as well. It really puts your child's athletic career into perspective.

A few of my favorite quotes from the article...

"It is the parents' responsibility to check out in advance how the coach is going to play kids and his coaching style. And it's always smart for a coach to set ground rules with parents before the season starts. After one bad year's experience, I would move on but not quit in the middle of the year."

"God is most concerned about our heart and character, so difficult moments will occur. If we were only allowed to succeed and win, we wouldn't be nice people. We would also be miserable."

And since you are here, take a moment to read this inspiring article about Josh Hamilton. It is always nice to see someone using their athletic abilities for the greater good! Encourage your players to do the same!
