Free May Scripture Printable: The One My Soul Loves

As you know, I have decided that as part of my goal to reach the nations for Christ this year (reach being my 2013 word), I will provide a free scripture printable for you every month this year...because it all starts in the home, reaching our families for Christ.

May is my absolute favorite month of the year, for many reasons! One reason being that it includes my anniversary. At the end of this month, Big A and I will have been married for 10 years!!! Crazy how time flies!

To celebrate, we are headed to Savannah to spend time together (just the two of us!) in one of the most beautiful cities, where we spent our honeymoon together!

I simply cannot imagine a better husband to spend my life with. God has truly blessed me with him. Every year gets better and I look forward to many, many more!

Free April Scripture Printable: Rest for the Weary

As you know, I have decided that as part of my goal to reach the nations for Christ this year (reach being my 2013 word), I will provide a free scripture printable for you every month this year...because it all starts in the home, reaching our families for Christ.

This is my April print. I have been so overwhelmed this year, with all of the tasks and responsibilities that go hand in hand with running this ministry and have told you before that I have even wanted to quit at times.

As a result, I have been looking for a scripture to encourage me during those times and I just may have found it. Psalm 55:22 refreshes my soul and reminds me that when I am weak, then He is strong. He will protect and uphold this ministry. He will carry the burden, not me. It is His ministry, not mine.

The flower background brings home the essence of peace, tranquility, calm, rest. My prayer is that it will serve as a reminder that He is in control, we have nothing to fear.

As you know, I have decided that as part of my goal to reach the nations for Christ this year (reach being my 2013 word), I will provide a free scripture printable for you every month this year...because it all starts in the home, reaching our families for Christ.

This is my March print. If you have been around here very long, you know that spring is my favorite time of year and that Easter is my favorite holiday. It just makes me so happy!

How can you not be happy when the sun is out, the birds are chirping, the flowers are in bloom and you have the promise of new life in Christ! No matter who you are or what you have done. No matter your past or your future. You have the hope of a brand new life (eternal life) through a personal relationship with the Creator of the universe.

It doesn't get any better than that!

What a great reminder, during this month of love, that God's love never fails. This very truth is found all throughout His word and here it is again, woven into one of my favorite passages of scripture. Even when we are up against trials and tribulations, instead of being overwhelmed by this world, we can count on Him to overwhelm us with His love, His compassion, His faithfulness. Every. Single. Day.

What a great verse for a new year. A reminder that God is in control. He has a plan and we have hope in that. No need to stress or worry, or try to accomplish all kinds of crazy things, we can simply rest in His perfect will for our lives.

I actually made this the cover photo on my Worthy of the Prize facebook page because it brings me overwhelming peace, knowing that God has great plans for this little ministry of ours and that all I have to do is rely on Him and His strength.

I have been on a mission trip for the past week, running an evangelistic basketball camp in a depressed area of Ohio, which I will tell you more about in the days to come.

One of the truths that we taught the campers is the fact that each one of us is created by God for a specific purpose. We are not here by accident. He made us and he loves us, just the way we are.

{Free Friday}: Your Love Never Fails Printable

Do you ever just have "one of those days" or maybe it's been one of those weeks, months, years where nothing seems to go your way?

My friend Mary Jo posted this on Facebook last week and I just loved it. What a refreshing statement from the Jesus Culture song One Thing Remains.

{Free Friday}: Isaiah 45 Printable

Today I have an extra special printable for you, designed by my friend Kelley of We're Better Together...You & Me.

Kelley and her husband John have accepted the call to be full-time missionaries at Camp Redcloud, a Christian ranch in Colorado, where John will be the Equestrian Program Manager.

You can read more about their new adventure here. The reason they are considered missionaries is because they must raise their own financial support. They are stepping out on faith that God will provide. The camp chooses this method so that they can keep camper costs to a minimum, in order to reach more people with the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Big A and I are SO excited for them and have decided to support them ourselves. We are all about anything that combines recreation with the gospel message!

Would you pray about supporting them as well? 

They still need 6-12 people to support them at $50 or $100 per month. Of course they will accept any amount that you feel led to give.

As you know, summertime is a camp's busiest season and Camp Redcloud is no exception. They could really use John's help right now but he and his family cannot move until they have raised their full support.

If you decide that the Lord is leading you to support John and Kelley financially, simply visit their profile page to read more about them and to set up your giving account.

Other ways that you can help...

1. Pray for them!

2. Spread the word for them!

I know that Kelley and John are clinging to the promise given to us in Isaiah 45, which is why she designed this printable.

And after all that my own family has been through these past few years, I can testify that these words are truth. God does go before His children and level the mountains. He does knock down all obstacles and meet our needs, when we are in His will. When He calls, He delivers. He did it over and over again in the Bible and He still does it today. All we have to do is trust Him.

With GOD all things are possible. {Matthew 19:26}

I have no doubt that He will provide exactly what John and Kelley need in His perfect timing. And when He does, I look forward to watching them be used for His glory in Colorado!

{Free Friday}: Wings Like Eagles Printable

I love the word of the Lord given to us in Isaiah that says "every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed and all mankind together will see it."

Standing at the bottom of the mountain, eyes gazing up, wondering how in the world it was gonna be moved.

Crying out in helpless desperation, knowing full well the situation could not possibly work itself out, short of a miracle.

Telling God it was impossible.

And all of a sudden I hear a whispering in my ear saying, "nothing is impossible with God."

Actually it was a note that my 3 year old brought home from church, but you get my drift.

{Free Friday}: Zephaniah 3:17 Printable

In case you are new around here, I wanted to let you know that every Friday I post a free printable that you can download to use on your computer or to display in your home, place of work or wherever you want to put it.

My hope is to provide you with scriptures or positive quotes that will help you to focus on God and find joy as you go about your daily routine. Sometimes we create original printables, but most of the time I simply share things I have found around the web.

I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I usually choose prints that reflect what is going on in my personal life and ministry. I don't intentionally select them based on that truth, it is simply the reality that I choose the things that inspire me at that moment.

Today's free printable is no different. Zephaniah 3:17 has become a very powerful and meaningful verse of scripture in my life over the past few years.

As you know, we just relocated to Tennessee. Our 4th move in 9 years of marriage. The 5th church that Big A has been on staff as a worship pastor. Our 3rd state. Our 5th home owned.

Yes, there is a story there and Zephaniah 3:17 is a big part of it. So much so that it is the topic of my next book, a journal account of the incredible journey we have been on since leaving our beloved Texas home, which I look forward to sharing more about in the coming days. This passage is so meaningful to us that we actually wrote it on the foundation of our new home before the builders finished out the basement this week.

The Lord your God is with you, He is 

MIGHTY TO SAVE.

He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

And here it is...our new home...it's officially ours since we signed the papers yesterday afternoon! :)

It's been a long time coming home, but we finally made it! The journey was tough, but God is faithful and He has revealed himself to us in ways we never could have imagined. Can't wait to tell you more when I find the words, boy do I have some stories to tell!

You will start to notice that I will be sharing alot more about our personal lives, ministries, daily activities and what God is doing in our home, church and family now that I am in a position to do so. We have been in some crazy church situations the past several years that have prevented me from sharing much. If I am being completely honest, the only truly positive situation we have been in, besides the one we are in now, was our first church out of seminary. You will understand more when you read the aforementioned book and our upcoming ebook "find joy in the journey."
