25 Days of Fitness

I have come to the obvious conclusion that I DO NOT need to gain weight this holiday season (as the average person does)... instead, I actually need to lose weight!

With that in mind, I have created 25 Days of Fitness to help keep myself accountable to living a healthy lifestyle these next 25 days (November 29-December 23) in order to get into a regimen that I will carry on into the New Year!

I bet there are at least a few of you out there who would like to join me in this endeavor!

Am I right?!!?

Here is my plan (feel free to follow along and adjust according to your needs):

Each day I will pursue physical as well as spiritual fitness!

As for physical fitness, I will...

1. Workout everyday for at least 30 minutes (you do not have to workout everyday, in fact it is good to give your body rest...I am just doing more to offset the holiday parties and to get myself into a consistent routine... but you do need to shoot for at least 3 times a week, including cardio and strength-training).

I will do my strength-training 3 times a week (which is all you need to do) and will do cardio everyday. I will include a 5-min warm-up and a 5 min cool-down, including stretching, into every workout routine (as you always should).

2. Consume at least 64 oz of water each day (working up to 124 oz each day)...adding extra water will help you cut back on the cokes....make it your goal to not drink anything else that day until you have met your water intake goal...it is easy to drink alot of calories so watch out.

3. Count calories (go to the Livestrong Calorie Calculator to determine the number of calories you are supposed to consume per day for your body type), not exceeding my limit for the day.

4. Stop eating at least 2 hours before my bed-time.

As for spiritual fitness, I will...

1. Spend time in God's word each day reflecting on the true reason for the Christmas season.

2. Spend time in prayer each day.

I am actually going to post (on this post, see below) my workout routine as well as my spiritual reflection/prayer for each one of the 25 days so that you can follow along!

In order to make it easier for you, post this button on your blog so that each day you can link up!

Blog about 25 Days of Fitness and use this button in your post to keep yourself accountable and so that others can join in too!

Share this link on your FB and twitter for the same reasons!

Please leave a comment on this post letting me know if you are joining me!

Also, on each of the daily posts, leave me comments letting me know how your workout and/or spiritual routine went that day!

You can join in at anytime!

Happy Holidays!
